Joint Selection for State University Entrance (SBMPTN) is a selection/admission process for new state universities using the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) nationally organized by the Higher Education Entrance Test Institute (LTMPT) simultaneously in Indonesia.

The objectives of holding the SBMPTN include: selecting prospective students who are predicted to be able to complete studies at PTN, PTKIN, and State Polytechnics well and on time based on the results of the UTBK; providing opportunities for prospective students to choose tertiary institutions across regions; and helping universities to find prospective students who are predicted to be able to complete their studies based on academic and other achievements.

The quota provided for the SBMPTN pathway is at least 40% of the capacity of the study program at the university concerned. The number of SBMPTN quotas can increase, if you get a quota transfer from the SNMPTN line.

The conditions that need to be considered to take part in the SBMPTN are to have valid UTBK scores, have a diploma or certificate of graduation, and be a graduate of high school or its equivalent in the last three years. It should also be noted that there are costs that must be incurred to be able to participate in this selection.
