The Engineering Faculty of The University of Bengkulu was established in 2006 based on a permit given by the decree of the directorate of higher education No 3233/D/T/2006 dated 30 Agustus 2006. The faculty is one of 8 faculties at the University of Bengkulu. Previously, it was established as the Engineering Programme in 2003. The faculty always develops itself in terms of learning facility, resources, and capacities. It has six study programmes i.e., Informatics, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, Architecture, and information systems. Those programs are accredited by the BAN – PT, the Indonesian National Accreditation Board of Higher Education. Presently, the Faculty includes 65 teaching staff and serves around 2000 students. It always strives to maintain the quality of its services as high as possible to achieve national and international standards.

The faculty is aimed at performing education, research, and community development to produce graduates who are professional engineers with high adaptability to the development of knowledge and technology at the international level. Consequently, international accreditation is needed to achieve those aims. This self – evaluation report is a part of the effort to be accredited by the ACQUIN to ensure that the faculty meets the standards of The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR).

We would like to thank all members of the team who participated in the writing of this report. We hope that all study programmes in the Faculty of Engineering will be accredited successfully
