Ogram Studi S1 Information Systems is one of the study programs under the management of the Faculty of Engineering, Bengkulu University. The Information Systems Study Program has been established since 2016. The development of the Information Systems Study Program began with a Decree on the Opening of the Information Systems Study Program from KEMENRISTEK DIKTI Number 335 / KPT / I / 2016 .
With the human resources that have been prepared in advance, both through study abroad assignments and various computer science development activities carried out by its staff, the Informatics Engineering Study Program began to organize a Computer Science Study Program for the S1 level under the Faculty of Engineering UNIB.
Currently, the S1 Information Systems Study Program is strengthened by 9 permanent lecturers, who have S2 and S3 qualifications. Lecturers of the S1 Information Systems Study Program come from various fields of Informatics, Computers, Multimedia, and Mathematics.All of these lecturers have diverse fields of expertise, namely Computing, Databases, Computer Human Interaction, System Design Analysis, Artificial Intelligence, Decision Support Systems, Computer Architecture and Organization, Computer Networks, Data Mining, Software Engineering, and Digital Image Processing.
The S1 Information Systems Study Program continues to race to improve its quality in order to be able to create graduates who are competent and able to compete. The development potential of the S1 Information System Study Program is still very open. As the only state university in Bengkulu Province, the contribution of the S1 Information Systems Study Program is expected to be the driving force for the development of the Bengkulu Province area and develop regional human resources that master information and communication technology.
