
Increasing Knowledge in Bill of Quantity Preparation at Horticultural Food Crops and Plantation Office of Bengkulu Province
The government as the owner of government-owned projects often finds problems related to the Bill of Quantity resulting in the return of project money because there is a discrepancy which is considered to result in state losses. In some cases, problems with the BOQ can also lead to legal problems, especially from work involving the state treasury.
In terms of supervising a work, the government also needs knowledge about this RAB so that it can carry out supervision properly so that the work can be completed and running well, especially for Water Construction work carried out by the Bengkulu Province Food Horticulture and Plantation Service. For this reason, the Bengkulu Province Horticultural Food Crops and Plantation Service in collaboration with Civil Engineering at the University of Bengkulu held a community service activity “Increasing Technical Knowledge for Preparation of Cost Budgeting Plans and Analysis of Water Building Construction Works at the Horticultural Food Crops and Plantation Office of Bengkulu Province”
This activity was carried out by lecturers of the Civil Engineering Study Program namely Annisa Fitria Edriani, S.T, M.EngSt, Dr. Hardiansyah, S.T, M.T, and Dr. Khairul Amri, S.T, M.T and included student Gevin Geageri. The activity was carried out on Thursday, 24 November 2022 in the Hall of the Horticultural Food Crops and Plantation Office of Bengkulu Province. This activity was attended by representatives of the Department of Agriculture from all districts in Bengkulu Province. The purpose of this activity is to provide knowledge to the Department of Food Crops, Horticulture and Plantation Offibe of the Province of Bengkulu on how to prepare a Budget Plan (BOQ) and how to make an Analysis of Waterworks Construction Work. Activities consisted of information presentation, followed by discussion, and closed with evaluation activities. In carrying out the activity, the main constrait was time constraints so the participants suggested follow-up activities in the form of Technical Guidance for the Preparation of a Bill of Quantity (BOQ).
