The Electrical Engineering Study Program was established based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No.2294/D/T/2003 dated September 5, 2003. Currently, the Electrical Engineering Study Program has obtained Accreditation B based on BAN-PT Decree No. 502/SK/BAN-PT/Akred /S/V/2015 dated 30 May 2015, which is valid until 30 May 2020.
At its inception, the Electrical Engineering Study Program was under the Bengkulu University Engineering Program which was coordinated directly by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Since December 17, 2007, the Engineering Program has officially transformed into the Faculty of Engineering, Bengkulu University.
The Electrical Engineering Study Program began to accept the first batch of students in the Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2004/2005 and was ready to contribute to responding to the challenges of the times referring to increasingly modern and sophisticated technology. Since producing the first graduates in April 2009, to date the Electrical Engineering Study Program has produced 172 alumni (data as of June 2016).
