The Bachelor in Electrical Engineering Study Programme was established based on the Decree of the Directorate General of Higher Education Number 2294/D/T/ 2003 dated September 5th, 2003. The study programme was accredited B by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education on May 30th, 2015 – May 30th, 2020. The same accreditation is valid until 2025.
Initially, the Study Programme was under the program of engineering at the University of Bengkulu. On December 17th, 2007, the Engineering Study Programme transformed into the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Bengkulu.
The Bachelor in Electrical Engineering Study Programme started to operate in the odd semester of the 2004/2005 academic year. It has contributed to answering the current era’s challenges based on more modern and sophisticated technologies.
In the beginning, the Study Programme has two concentrations i.e. Control and Instrument Engineering and Electric Power Engineering. Then, in 2021, The Study Programme added a new concentration which was Telecommunication.
The learning process in the electrical engineering Study Programme has seen several revisions of curricula i.e. 2004, 2008, 2015, and 2021. The 2015 and 2021 version implement IQF which is organised into the major, supporting, and other competencies which support the vision, missions, and objectives of the Study Programme. The review of the curriculum involves all of the teaching staff, students, industries, and alumni. In 2021, the curriculum was improved based on the MBKM directive as ordered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
